History of chinese calligraphy

Unique valentine day gift

It's hard to give a unique valentine day gift. Because it's hard to find what somebody else really like. And it's even harder to find someone likes and don't cost you a fortune.

Chinese people sometimes like to give expensive unique valentine day gifts. Chinese people think the more expensive unique valentine day gift they give, the more they care. That's actually not a good habit. A great unique valentine day gift should be expressing your thought and not costing a fortune.

One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.

Chinese calligraphy are different from other calligraphy works. Chinese calligraphy is painted by special calligraphy paper (Xuan paper), special brush and special ink.

The greatest Chinese calligrapher Wang Xizhi improved his calligraphy a lot after he traveled from south part of China to the north. He said later that it is kind of waste of time to only study Mrs. Wei's calligraphy.

But later, as they found that Chinese characters have something more than just a good looking, Chinese calligraphy was born. The invention of Chinese brushes greatly pushed the development of Chinese calligraphy as an art.
