Integrating Culture, Language, and Art in Calligraphy Education

Abstract:

This presentation will focus on how to integrate culture, language and art in a 3-credit college Chinese calligraphy course.  A model for creating a highly interactive learner-centered curriculum will be presented, and the rationale of its curricular design will be explained.  A list of annotated bibliography of useful web sites and textbooks will also be shared with the conference participants.
