50th birthday gift idea

It's hard to give a 50th birthday gift idea. Because it's hard to find what somebody else really like. And it's even harder to find someone likes and don't cost you a fortune.

Chinese people sometimes like to give expensive 50th birthday gift ideas. Chinese people think the more expensive 50th birthday gift idea they give, the more they care. That's actually not a good habit. A great 50th birthday gift idea should be expressing your thought and not costing a fortune.

In the US, people usually should claim a gift if the value is higher than certain amount. The limit depends on location. Some place might be $50 and some place might be $20. That's a great regulation.

One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.

I will sing a new song unto thee, O upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.

Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

But later, as they found that Chinese characters have something more than just a good looking, Chinese calligraphy was born. The invention of Chinese brushes greatly pushed the development of Chinese calligraphy as an art.

The greatest Chinese calligrapher Wang Xizhi improved his calligraphy a lot after he traveled from south part of China to the north. He said later that it is kind of waste of time to only study Mrs. Wei's calligraphy.

Chinese calligraphy is not just writing Chinese characters. It is not just writing Chinese well. It is not just writing Chinese characters beautifully.

Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.

Chinese calligraphy are different from other calligraphy works. Chinese calligraphy is painted by special calligraphy paper (Xuan paper), special brush and special ink.
